Hotel guests usually do not want background noise from other guests in their room. Nor do residents of apartment buildings want to be disturbed by the penthouse pool. Therefore, sound insulation should always be considered for pool installations above the building brine. What is essential here is the damping of structure-borne sound transmission into the building. In the self-supporting VPS pools, a mostly sound-decoupled installation is possible. Decoupling can be installed after the exact calculation of the individual loads and their positioning between the basin and the “reverberant” riot construction. Depending on the damping requirements, various systems for sound decoupling are available.
